For credit unions

Scout gets your member to you at the riskiest moment of a scam call, with the context your team needs and the safeguards your process already relies on.

The employee portal

A sign-in-only workspace for Sound Credit Union employees. Members never use it.

  • Case queue

A live queue of cases that members chose to share with you.

  • Case detail

Assistance requested, incident timeline, member-confirmed facts kept apart from Scout's assessments and their uncertainty, authorized evidence, and open and completed actions.

  • Case actions

Acknowledge a case, assign an owner, request information from the member, and record the outcome.

  • Safe Reconnect calls

When a member taps Safe Reconnect to reach Sound CU, an available employee is rung, in the portal's built-in browser phone or on their work phone, with the member's case in the queue.

  • ● New

    Payment-hold requests

Review a member's request to pause outgoing transfers after a risky call, and record your decision.

  • ● New

    Before you move money

When a member asks to send a wire or transfer, ask Scout whether they were targeted recently: risk none, elevated or high, the facts from the last 72 hours (counts and tactic names, never transcripts), whether they're on a call right now, a 30-second pause when the risk is up, and questions to ask in the member's language. Members opt in; others get “not available”. A credit union's own system can ask the same question with an API key.

  • ● New

    Verified calls to members

Call a member through Scout so they first hear, privately, that the call is really from Sound CU. Only members who opted in, only your institution's members, rate-limited and logged.

  • ● New

    False-alarm rate

How often members said a warned call was actually real, across your institution. Aggregates only.

Built-in guardrails

  • An incident brief is never proof of identity. Your normal identity checks still apply.
  • Employees see only cases members authorized, and only for their own credit union.
  • No card or payment actions happen inside Scout. Scout has no connection to core banking.
  • Assessments are labeled as assessments, with their uncertainty, separate from what the member confirmed.

The Sound Credit Union pilot

Scout is a prototype being piloted with Sound Credit Union in Washington State, in English and Spanish. Members install the iPhone app; the website explains Scout and hosts the employee portal.
